During the month of November 2016, I was on a Facial Rejuvenation Acupuncture journey with Alyssa, at Elements Wellness.
Twice a week, I would cruise down to Kitsilano, shut-off the world, and relax on a heated blanket, while looking like a human pin cushion.
During the process (which was blogged), I had some lovely ladies send private messages inquiring about the procedure, costs, and results.
Alyssa and I chatted after my last session; below, she has provided all the answers to your questions.
Q & A:
How many sessions are recommended?
8-10 sessions. Twice a week, consecutively.
What is the cost?
*Check extended benefits, a portion could be covered.
If you pay for all ten sessions upfront, you get 10% OFF (free session).
What if I miss a week?
Resume when you get back.
What is the post-care procedure maintenance?
1-2 x a month. This depends on your lifestyle (and finances). The healthier you live, the more you support your body, the longer the results will last.
Does it hurt?
There can be some mild discomfort. (Personally, I was more aware of it in the beginning… but by the end it didn’t bother me at all.)
Does it work with Botox?
The acupuncture increases circulation to the face, providing the face with essential nutrients. This could counteract the Botox, as the circulation could increase the rate that the body breaks down the Botox.
What else do I need to know?
Click HERE, I have attached an email that Alyssa sent me, explaining the whole procedure!
My TWO CENTS:
I really enjoyed this experience. Alyssa finished each session with applying beautiful oils to my skin, giving me a gentle face massage. It was extremely valuable to have this ritual of self-care. I noticed a difference in my stress level. I craved less sugar (my weakness). Anyone that saw me, complimented my skin.
It was also amazing to work with a female healer. I felt like I could confide in her. She used her wealth of knowledge to support me in many different ways. That to me… is priceless.
