I have had the pleasure of meeting women all over the world. Young, old; successful, broke; happy, sad; unhealthy, healthy… you name it! I have lived in five countries, nine cities, travelled quite extensively for six years, and worked with women in one capacity or another in each place. What is the ONE thing we talk about most? Our relationship’s.
If a gal isn’t in a relationship, she is discussing a possible suitor, past relationship, potential of a future relationship, business relationship, friendship or family relationship.
This has allowed me to witness something remarkable. A women’s feelings should never be questioned. How we feel is our navigation system directing us towards a better understanding of ourselves. A woman might be talking about her relationship with another, but what she is truly observing is her relationship with herself.
I like to compare healing our relationship with ourselves to renovating a house. You strip it right down, take the light switches and door handles off, scrub all the dirt out of each corner, and apply a fresh coat of paint. Some days the last thing you want to do is paint behind the toilet, but every difficult moment you work through, you get closer to what you desire. There is always something to do around the house, but once you get to a certain point, the foundation is strong, the walls are painted, it get’s easier. You find yourself with the tools to make quick adjustments. You can add a decorative pillow, and feel good.
The relationship we have with ourselves will dictate every experience we have. Figuring out how to heal past trauma, childhood wounds, while instilling forgiveness and love towards ourselves can be an overwhelming task. Like renovating, it is one step at a time. I want to show you how to paint your walls, and clean the dirt out of the corners, shine light on the dark stuff, and truly break free of that lesser version of yourself.
If you want to find true love, you have to first learn to love yourself. I know what it is like to live a life of self-hate, and I wouldn’t wish it upon anyone. I also, now know, what it is like to live a life of love, and I know you can find your way. I want to show you how.
