Yield: 2 Servings | Prep Time: 5 minutes | Cooking time: 5 minutes

  • 1-2 C. kale (or: collard greens, spinach, swiss chard, beet greens)
  • 1 C. water
  • 1 Tbsp. olive oil OR vinegar
  • Pinch of salt
  1. Tear leaves off stems.
  2. Bring water to a boil.
  3. Steam greens for 5 minutes, or until colour of leaves becomes a bright green.
  4. Splash greens with olive oil or vinegar, and sprinkle with salt.

This recipe is simple, which is exactly what a new mama should be embracing. Leafy greens are full of delicious nutrients. These steamed greens are antioxidant-rich deliciousness.
