Ten Tips To Save You Time And Improve Your Health

The top complaint from clients, family, and friends IS: I don’t have time to be healthy.

I understand, sometimes spare moments are not available.

The truth is: Being healthy is a low priority for most of us.

If you want something, you find a way to get it.  If you are eager to get your summer-bod ready for the beach… I have a few tricks and recipes you can try.

1.Smoothies! Simple! Easy!  Make a big batch, store it, freeze it, pack it with you!

  1. Grocery Hacks. Splurge on some pre-cut veg/fruit, bulk nuts, dried fruit, pre-made guacamole/humus, healthy granola bars. Half prepped food is easier to deal with and still less expensive than eating out.

  2. Don’t sit when you get home. If your goal is to go to the gym after work, drive there. If your goal is to make dinner after work, do it right away.

  3. Pack healthy snacks. Always have it with you! An apple and nuts will prevent the vending machine splurge.

  4. Find yourself without food? Go to a grocery store for lunch, or bring groceries as your lunch, and make something at work.

Recipes:

  1. Breakfast:  Chia Granola Jar: 3 tbsp of chia seeds, 3 tbsp of granola, 1 cup of almond milk, 1/2 cup of fruit (I like berries).   Put in a jar. Shake.  Eat next morning.

  2. Smoothie: Tropical Twist: 1 cup of spinach, 1 banana, 1 cup of mango (I bought frozen cubed mango), 2 dates, 2 brazil nuts, 1 cup of water or almond milk. Blend while you brush our teeth.

  3. Lunch: Veggie Sandwich: Chop veg (sprouts, tomatoes, cucumbers), put in between two slices of bread, add favourite mustard, or humus with avocado. Yum!

  4. Lunch: Veggie Wrap: Same as the sandwich, but in a wrap.

  5. Quinoa Bowl:  Cook 1 cup of quinoa (takes ten minutes), add a can of chickpeas, chop up some veggies (red pepper, carrots, broccoli), add herbs (I love dill), add a lil tamari for taste.  Steam the veg if you are feeling crazy!

There are a lot of quick, easy, options!  Use that beautiful brain, and the Google. You can do it!
